SESSIONS AND PRICING

Artistic ability or experience is not required to engage in Art Therapy, and your choice of art materials will enable whatever creative approach is right for you, allowing you to explore at your own pace with curiosity and playfulness.

Art Therapy sessions are suitable for all ages and begin with discussion, followed by supported art creation and end with reflection on the process, the art object, and personal insights gained by clients during art making.

If you prefer to have online Art Therapy sessions, art packs are available from Shylie on request which can be sent out to you prior to sessions, or you can supply your own art materials at home. You will need:

  • Soft pastels or oil pastels

  • Coloured pencils

  • Graphite pencils, eraser and sharpener

  • Watercolour and/or acrylic paints and brushes

  • Magazines, scissors and glue

  • A4 and A3 paper

  • Air-dry clay or modelling clay

  • Any other art materials you have at home.

Shylie is able to support self-funded NDIS clients, as well as Workcover clients. Shylie can work in tandem with treatment teams to support clients on a deeper emotional level, and has experience working with children and families in both acute inpatient mental health settings and the community.

Shylie is currently travelling around Australia and is only working with clients online. An hour-long online Art Therapy session is $150. Please contact Shylie through the form below to make an appointment, or email her at shylie@experiencingcolour.com.
